Volleyball tournament and fun walk, a benefit for breast cancer research, hosted by the Side-Out Foundation. Dogs welcome. 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
“Poker run” benefit, a fundraiser for Calvert Hospice. 10:30 a.m., CJ’s, 12020 Olivet Rd., Lusby.
Open skate night, for all ages. Sponsored by St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks. 6-9 p.m., Leonard Hall Recreation Center.

Fossil search, for all ages, a guided hike to the beach. 2-3:30 p.m., Calvert Cliffs State Park
